[Music Video] The Paper Kites – Bloom

In the morning when I wake
And the sun is coming through,
Oh, you fill my lungs with sweetness,
And you fill my head with you.

Shall I write it in a letter?
Shall I try to get it down?
Oh, you fill my head with pieces
Of a song I can’t get out.

Can I be close to you?
Ooh, ooh
Can I be close to you?
Ooh, ooh.

Can I take it to a morning
Where the fields are painted gold
And the trees are filled with memories
Of the feelings never told?

When the evening pulls the sun down,
And the day is almost through,
Oh, the whole world it is sleeping,
But my world is you.

Can I be close to you…?

Allen Stone- Circle

In eager anticipation of seeing him perform live tomorrow night, here’s a new track from his forthcoming album, “Radius”. This guy has so much talent and soul, it’s ridiculous. I remember seeing him for the first time at Virgin Mobile Freefest 2 years ago. I was amazed then, and I’m sure I will be just as amazed this time around. Well done, Mr. Stone. Keep rockin’.

[Live Performance] The Head and the Heart – Rivers and Roads

This song is so beautiful to me. It was hard to choose which song from this band I wanted to post because I immediately loved all the songs I saw them perform. The Head and the Heart is a sextet from Seattle and were easily one of my favorite discoveries this past weekend at ACL Fest. I’ve been listening to their album the past few days and the studio performances of their songs just doesn’t do them much justice compared to how they were live. So much emotion in their performance and they had great stage presence,…something that the following act just didn’t have (the performer’s initials are LDR). I couldn’t find a decent video of their performance of this song from last Saturday so this video will have to do. Apparently, this song was used in How I Met Your Mother and in the season finale of Chuck.

I want to post more about my experience at ACL Fest…depends on if I decide to take the time!
