[Lyric Video] Abra featuring Loonie & Ron Henley – Cerberus (produced by Klumcee)

Some Tagalog hip hop for ya. It’s safe to say these are three of the top rappers in the PI at the moment; thus, the deserved title of this track.

This is one of the tracks I play while I work out (If you work out at LA Fitness, let’s work out sometime!). Just blast these on the headphones. Good thing they made a lyric video because honestly I can’t understand everything they say, especially with Abra with that speed.  And my goodness, Loonie and his breathe control in the middle of his verse.

As an added bonus, here’s an IT WAS WRITTEN episode that Mike Swift and J-Hon (PUTING KALABAW!) came up with: have a cipher in which the rappers recite what they wrote within an hour.

The rest of Abra’s album can be streamed on Spotify or bought on Amazon:

Well, there goes 90 minutes of life gone…

Their catalog is quite extensive so there no doubt will be songs left out. There’s no Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik or Player’s Ball. It’d be tight if they got Killer Mike, Cee-Lo and the rest of Goodie Mob for some songs. I also noticed the setlist has a lot of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. I understand that album is their most mainstream but ehhh…

Odds are slim but I really, really hope to I have the opportunity to see them perform live this year!

Ariana Grande, Nathan Sykes – Almost Is Never Enough [2013]

I initially shared this song with a couple fellow bloggers and after multiple listens I need to share it to everybody! Off the soundtrack of film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is this duet between starlet Ariana Grande and The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes. Okay, I knew Ariana would come correct, but Nathan Sykes…WHOA! Didn’t know he had the chops!

Not really familiar with her music other than her collabs with Big Sean and Mac Miller so this ballad is a nice change of pace. I think Ariana Grande is refreshing to listen to with all the dance/techno/electronic collaboration hoopla madness these past few years.  I’m rooting for you, girl!

Take that, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez!
